Generally I'm a quiet person. I enjoy to listen to the ideas that the students share in class and I like to listen to the teachers as well. Most of you already know me in some way. It could be that we sat together in chemistry, we rode the bus together or we spent five or more years of our lives in the same class. Some of you know me and have known me for a long time but I am willing to bet that you don't know everything about me. I'm like most of the students at Milton High. I study, pay attention in class (most of the time), I work hard and I participate in clubs and activities after school. As some of you know I am part of the Dance Team. My freshman year at Milton High I didn't really know who I was or what I wanted. When I joined Dance Team I became more aware of the friends that I wanted to have, people that cared about me when I missed a practice, that would help me when I couldn't remember a step, and that would always make me feel welcome by saying a simple "Hi Jamie" in the hallways. Freshman year was also when I learned that I was interested in science.
Now two years later, I find it very difficult for me to express who I am. I'm someone that studies really hard. My friendships mean the most to me. Like most students I have my share of problems and the one I find helpful to escape these problems is through music. I love to discover new music and bands. When I have a hard day at school or home I love to drive around with my music playing. I also love to go online and download new songs and bands. Now that I can drive, I can meet my friends at the mall or at a park where we can walk around, discuss music and talk about our problems. I love my friends because they are good listeners, like me, and they are very caring. My family is also very important to me, but like some other families we don't discuss our feelings so it is very important to me to have friends that I can call when I have a bad day because I know they are there for me and will support me. I also hope that they feel the same way too because I respect them and am very grateful that they are such good listeners I hope they see that I am there for them too! Hopefully now all of you have learned at least one thing about me that you never knew before and I hope to someday learn the same about you.

  1. Nice introduction Jamie. It was well written and sincere. I’m happy to work with you again this year. Hard work will be the key to success this year, and if your performance of last spring is any indicator of your work ethic, I know you will be very successful. Have you been reading any more books about Army aviators?
